José Colón, CIO, has played an integral role in developing IT solutions to assist the District Department of Transportation in its wide range of responsibilities for the last 13 years. He brings over 20 years of state and local government experience and has served in many capacities. He’s received several accolades for his contributions to DC Government to include: The George Washington University Cafritz Award for Excellence in Public Service, two Special Achievements in GIS (SAG) from ESRI, and most recently an Innovation Award from Hexagon. He is a certified Project Management Professional, Certified Public Manager, and recent graduate of The University of Maryland’s Operations Academy.
