Ian Carlton is co-founder of MapCraft.io and an urban development researcher whose work considers the context-specific relationships between real estate and transportation investments, especially transit-oriented development. MapCraft.io develops multi-user web apps for running interactive spatial analytics over wide geographies. Ian also directs consulting projects at ECONorthwest, an urban economics consulting firm, where he leverages MapCraft’s tools to deliver economic and strategic insights to local governments, transit agencies, regional planning organizations, and landowners. Ian is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Transit-Oriented Development Product Council and sits on the Transportation Research Board's Transportation and Land Development Committee.
